Invert Smart Tube 5 times to ensure good mixing of blood with dissolved LyoSphere
-
Work quickly, it is important to minimize the time elapsed between adding the blood to the Smart Tubes and putting the Smart Tubes in the Water Bath
|

|

 |
|

Place Smart Tubes in a water bath pre-heated to 37°C
-
Incubate in water bath for EXACTLY 15 MINUTES
|
|
| |
|
|
|
|
| |
 |
|
-
When the 15 minute incubation is complete immediately remove the Smart Tubes from the water bath and place in a rack at Room Temperature
-
Move to next step without delay
|

Break ampoule within each Smart Tube by performing the following steps:

Check that cap is screwed tightly onto Smart Tube
-
Hold Smart Tube between thumbs and forefingers
-
Press on body of Smart Tube with thumbs and bend Smart Tube until there is a quiet snapping sound inside of the Smart Tube

Repeat for each Smart Tube

It should only require about 10 seconds to break the ampoules for all 3 Smart Tubes

Mix blood with Proteomic Stabilizer released from Ampoule by inverting Smart Tube 7 times
-
Work quickly to minimize time between breaking the ampoules and mixing the blood with the Proteomic Stabilizer

|
|
|

|

Incubate at Room Temperature for EXACTLY 10 MINUTES
-
Use an open rack, like a wire rack
-
DO NOT USE STYROFOAM RACK
